More than 100 divers had attended a diving session to demonstrate their concern and calling out for the release of former President Mohamed Nasheed، who at this time is serving a 13 year jail sentence for being guilty of terrorism.

Today’s event kicked-off near West Park café area، where divers had used banners calling out release their leader. The event was carried forth under the slogan “Free Climate Hero”.

An official who had been a prime member of organizing the event stated that the reason for today’s event was to acknowledge and praise Nasheed’s work in the field of environment and awareness of it.
