Islamic Ministry has said that this year’s Ramadan will be marked as a month of religious festivities.
Islamic Ministry said that as part of the festivities all the minarets of the mosques will be lit up to give prayer goers a sense of welcome and that Quran and the Prophet’s Siyarah will be broadcast in public areas. The Ministry said that these activities will be carried out to foster Islamic faith and remind the public that the whole of Ramadan is a festival.
“Billboards with religious sayings will be placed in all parts of Male’,”
Islamic Ministry added that this year, the ihya programs will be carried out this year as well and that this year they will seek to make those programs more interesting and interactive.
As such, the scholars will hold question and answer sessions and three questions based on the night’s topic will be open for answers from the public. The Ministry added that special prizes will be given to those who had submitted the most correct answers.
