Ooredoo Maldives has signed a partnership agreement with Regional Alliance for Fostering Youth (RAFY), to provide technical and financial support to the Millennium Youth Ambassadors Program.
President and Founder of RAFY, Ms. Aishath Rafiyya said: “Designed by our Capacity Development Center (Maldives Development Research Institute) and endorsed by the Colombo Leadership Academy (CLA), the Millennium Youth Ambassadors Programacts as a platform to empower youth throughintensive leadership coaching programs and collaborations with fellow young people. The program framework is divided into three parts; starting with multiple trainings on leadership, values and team building under the Youth as Millennium Assets Series (YMAS) Program, and followed by a 3-day long Millennium Youth Leaders Camp on youth leadership development and executive coachingfacilitated by Colombo Leadership Academy.The program subsequently leads young people to the opportunity to participate in a Millennium Youth Ambassadors Coaching Camp, held at the Colombo Leadership Academy in Srilanka.
Under the agreement, Ooredoo will work to expand the reach of the YMAS to youth across the Maldives, through Ooredoo Smart Campus technologies. The company will also provide communications support that can assist young leaders who participate in the Millennium Youth Leaders Camp in achieving their ambitions, and provide financial support towards the facilitation of the Colombo based Millennium Youth Ambassadors Coaching Camp.
