Air Seychelles commence flights to Maldives

The flagship Seychelles carrier, Air Seychelles commences their direct flights to Maldives.
Moreover, the airline’s maiden flight to Maldives made landing on 5 December.
Air Seychelles will traverse from Johannesburg, South Africa to Maldives for a period of six weeks with one flight per week.
Moreover, the carrier will make transit stops at Seychelles from South Africa before traveling to Maldives.
The flights will be flying in from South Africa on Fridays every week, making landings at Velana International Airport on Saturdays.
Furthermore, return flights will take off from VIA on Saturdays.
The commencement of Air Seychelles’ operation marks yet another international carrier to Maldives since border reopening.
Earlier, following the Covid-19 outbreak the island nation closed its borders.
Following about three months of border closure, the gateways reopened on 15 July 2020.
