Scoot to suspend flights to Maldives

The Singaporean budget airline known as Scoot has halted flights to four countries, including the Maldives.
According to a press release by the airline, this decision was made due to low demand and lack of aircraft.
The other cities that Scoot will no longer fly to are Lucknow in India, Kalibo in the Philippines, and Quanzhou in China.
The release also stated that the company’s aircraft shortage is due to the fact that it will no longer receive SilkAir’s Boeing 737-800NG. This is due to the fact that SilkAir’s Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet being grounded.
The airline went on to explain that the flights to Lucknow and Kalibo would be suspended in June and that the flights to Quanzhou would be suspended in August.
