Maldives Police Service has forwarded a case to Prosecutor General’s (PG) Office against Galolhu South MP Ahmed Mahloof, accusing him of striking a pregnant woman.
Deputy Prosecutor General Hussain Shameem told Sun Online that the case was filed to PG Office last month.
Mahloof has denied accusations that he, on the night of 8 August 2012, struck a pregnant woman with his hand after an argument with a couple on a motorcycle.
A video was also leaked to support these claims, followed by Mahloof rebutting them as lies and explaining to media what actually happened.
