Kyrgyzstan made a strong start to the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Women’s CAVA Cup 2025, defeating Afghanistan in straight sets in their opening match of the four‑nation tournament.
Kyrgyzstan dominated the first set with a commanding 25–1 win. Afghanistan responded with a much stronger performance in the second set, leading for most of the frame, but Kyrgyzstan rallied late to take it 26–24.
The third set saw Kyrgyzstan regain full control, closing out the match 25–11.
The Maldives are hosting the tournament, which features Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan alongside the home team.
