Over 1,300 police cases in mere weeks; most involve traffic accidents

The police have received reports regarding over 1,300 cases, in just a little over a month into the new year.
The crime statistics shared by the police show they have received 1,325 cases so far this year.
Most of these cases involve traffic accidents, closely followed by theft.
Statistics:
Traffic accidents: 380 cases (28.7 percent)
Theft: 357 cases (26.9 percent)
Drugs: 217 cases (16.4 percent)
Lost items: 128 cases (9.7 percent)
Assault: 70 cases (5.3 percent)
Vandalism: 69 cases (5.2 percent)
Domestic violence: 40 cases (3 percent)
Embezzlement: 26 cases (2 percent)
Robbery: 15 cases (1.1 percent)
Sexual offenses: 15 cases (1.1 percent)
Counterfeit and forgery: 8 cases (0.6 percent)
Of the 1,325 cases reported so far this year, 1,096 cases were reported in January. This marks a slight increase from the same period last year, when police received 1,002 cases.
