STELCO Sends Additional Gensets to Guraidhoo, Thoddoo, and Mathiveri

State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has announced that it has sent additional generator sets (gensets) to three islands: K. Guraidhoo, A. A. Thoddoo, and A. A. Mathiveri. The company stated that these gensets were dispatched to meet the increasing demand for electricity services in these islands, with the aim of providing high-quality service to residents and businesses.
STELCO said that recognizing the growing demand for electricity services due to the infrastructural development and expansion of local tourism in K. Guraidhoo, an additional 1000-kilowatt genset was transported to the island on Wednesday to ensure high-quality service for the island’s residents and businesses.
Similar to Guraidhoo, an additional 1000-kilowatt genset was sent to A. A. Thoddoo on Thursday. STELCO noted that this genset was delivered to meet the increasing demand for electricity services resulting from the infrastructural development and growth of local tourism in Thoddoo, ensuring high-quality service for the island’s residents and businesses.
An additional genset was also sent to A. A. Mathiveri today. Specifically, a 600-kilowatt genset was dispatched to the island. STELCO stated that this genset has now been delivered to A. A. Mathiveri to address the rising demand for electricity services due to the ongoing infrastructural development and to provide high-quality service to the island’s residents and businesses. STELCO says that once these generators are installed and commissioned, the electricity service in these three islands will be further enhanced. STELCO is a government company that provides electricity services to the Greater Malé area, including Malé City, as well as to the inhabited islands of Alif Alif Atoll, Alif Dhaalu Atoll (excluding Maamigili), and Vaavu Atoll.
