Maldives’ main bank has been appointed title sponsor to this year’s Guesthouses Maldives Conference.
Bank of Maldives Ltd (BML) and the conference’s organizer Maldives Getaways signed the agreement late Thursday, thus re-branding the event as “BML Guesthouses Maldives Conference 2016”.
The bank described the conference, which will be held September 24, as an opportune event to connect top officials of the guesthouse industry with tour operators and hotel suppliers of the tourism sector.
BML cited Maldives Getaways that total 150 guesthouse owners and managers have already confirmed their participation in the conference. In addition, renowned online travel agents “Expedia” and “Booking.com” will also partake in the event to converse and share their experiences with local participants.
Declaring the bank’s interest in aiding local guesthouses, BML’s CEO Andrew Healy declared it an honour for the bank to sponsor an event which brings together entities of the industry.
