Participants of the Youth Apprenticeship Program organized by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and the Maldives Institute of Technology (MIT) have been awarded certificates.
Participants completed courses in construction management, building maintenance management and land surveying. They were awarded in a ceremony held on Thursday at the Hulhumalé Fahiveni Community Center.
10 of the participants have also been given employment at the HDC. 6 HDC staff had also participated in the program.
The apprenticeship program has been held since 2017, and HDC describes at as means to provide vocational training to the youth.
