Famous torrent site Pirate Bay goes offline after Sweden Police raid

Famous torrent host website Pirate Bay has gone down after officials raided in Sweden.
The top torrent site، went offline following Sweden Police taking down the servers in Stockholm after a group fighting against internet crime had filed report against the site and it’s founders.
This would be the first time in years، the torrent site has gone fully offline rather than being blocked by filters. Surprisingly، the site’s co-founder Peter Sunde had called for Pirate Bay’s permanent cease، as he is no longer involved with the torrent host giant.
Following the site going offline، Sweden Police has confirmed the raid after the complaint from Rights Alliance، the anti-internet crime fighters group.
An official of Stockholm County Police said that after years of investigation، they got wind of the definite location of the servers which was hosting the pirated downloadable contents.
Apart from this، the officer also confirms that not only were the servers removed from the site for examination but several individuals are being interrogated who may have ties with Pirate Bay، but he rested from confirming or denying if any arrests were made attached to the case.
“We can confirm that the police has completed a raid in the facility which where we rent space for our data centre،” hosting firm Portlane stated. The firm has servers located in Nacka، the areas mountainous terrains acts as a natural coolant for the servers. A spokesperson of the company said “This raid was not for our company or any of our employees،”.
