Kendhoo constituency MP, Ali Hussein has said that the Madaveli constituency member Muaz Mohamed is a great addition to the Jumhooree Party’s Parliamentary group.
Ali Hussein made this remark speaking at the special ceremony which was held in Paradise Island Resort to celebrate the membership of the Madaveli constituency member Muaz Mohamed - the only member in the Peoples Majlis who did not represent any political party to Jumhooree Party.
“In the Majlis, we do not speak out of context. We do not do things that are of no benefit. This can be seen from the daily records of the Majlis. We are not from those who waste the time of the Majlis,” he said.
Ali Hussein said that the joining of Muaz with the Jumhooree Party is an encouragement to the Parliamentary Group.
The new addition brings the total number of JP parliamentarians to 13.
Meanwhile, Muaz stated that Jumhooree Party is a party striving to remove the inequality in the society between the rich and the poor. He stated that Jumhooree party is - so far - the party doing their work in the most democratic way; and that he joined the party because of that mindset.
“Even though I was appointed to the seat as an independent candidate, it is a very difficult task to undertake works in the parliament as an independent member,” he said.
Muaz said that he believes that the Jumhooree Party is the most ideal party that he can join to perform my duties.
