PPM PG leader Nihaan Hussein Manik have said that the government will provide all the services to the islands even where they have not elected a single PPM candidate.
Speaking to the press at PPM’s office, Nihaan said that in the election people vote for friends and family and not only for the parties. He said hence such an election cannot determine the political ideology of the people.
Nihaan said that PPM fought alone against everyone else including some former senior figures of PPM and still PPM won the most number of seats. He said that, this shows the support President Yameen enjoys around the country.
In addition, he said that the voter turnout for Male’ city was only 17 percent and hence all the parties should think about it. He said that, it shows that Male’ city council have failed in providing services to the people in the past. Nihaan also said that the independent candidates who won the election will also join PPM.
He also said that a lot of things will be revealed base on the election and PPM will take the necessary actions for reform. He said that once the official results are out, it will be properly analyzed.
