Maldives Police Service (MPS) has stated that they are investigating the raid into G. Mas’odige.
Speaking to Miadhu, Police Media official said that they had entered the residence in a bid to stop violence escalating between two rival gangs.
MNDF Media Official Major Adnan Mohamed added that the agency had been providing assistance to MPS and that the assistance was carried out without arms.
TC Sports Club had condemned the raid, stating that some youth had been injured during the raid. The club had also called to investigate the case and take appropriate action. Failure to take action, the group said that will show that the Government had failed.
Reports revealed that even police have been active at some houses, following the gang assault. Thirteen suspects had been arrested in connection to the case.
