The Chinese Ambassador to Maldives Wang Fukang has said that a million Chinese tourists are expected to visit Maldives within two years’ time.
Speaking at the ceremony held to inaugurate the ‎Road Development Project of Laamu atoll, the Chinese Ambassador to Maldives Wang Fukang said that 400000 Chinese tourists are expected to visit Maldives within this year and next year it is expected to increase to 500000 tourists.
He said that Maldives, the beautiful country, is endowed with abundant coconut trees, clean water and clear sands, the scenery is so charming.
The Ambassador said that China and Maldives are holding discussions to develop resorts with Chinese backdrop to cater to the Chinese tourists visiting Maldives.
