Aminath Suzan has resigned as CEO of the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO).
Suzan stated online that her resignation was due to a desire to "take a much-needed break and focus on personal projects."
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve, Suzan acknowledged MATATO's guidance and support, specifically mentioning the assistance received from MATATO President Abdullah Ghiyas.
MATATO reported that Suzan's tenure led to numerous improvements under her leadership. Highlights include MATATO's new logo, website, and the Ramadan Quiz.
MATATO recognized that Suzan's diligent work strengthened the organization's industry presence and established a robust foundation for future years.
The company extended profound thanks to Suzan for her contributions.
Suzan was appointed CEO of MATATO on January 27, 2024.
Suzan, who previously held the role of Managing Director of Hotels and Resort Construction Company, is the first female Executive Board Member of the Maldives National Association of Construction Industry (MNACI). She also serves as an executive board member of the National Federation of Maldivian Employers (NFME).
Additionally, Suzan worked for HSBC Maldives for seven years.
