The President's Office has reopened applications for two member positions on the Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM).
The decision to reopen applications follows the cancellation of an earlier announcement issued on 24 June, due to an inadequate number of responses, according to the President’s Office.
Applications will be accepted until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 30 July, 2025. The President’s Office will accept submissions on working days from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. until the deadline. Application forms are available for download from the President’s Office website.
The HRCM comprises five members. The current commission members are President Mariyam Muna, Vice President Moomina Waheed, members Aminath Shifaath Abdul Razzaq, Samaau Ahmed Najeeb, and Ismail Habeeb. The new vacancies are open as the terms of Moonina and Shifaath are nearing expiration.
