Education and upbringing key to nurturing children grounded in Islamic values and patriotism: President

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has emphasised that prioritising education and upbringing is essential to nurturing children who are grounded in Islamic values, demonstrate good conduct and character, and grow into resilient and capable individuals.
The President made these remarks in a message shared on his official X account to mark the commencement of the new academic year. He also extended his best wishes to all stakeholders in the education sector, including teachers, parents, and students.
Concluding his message, the President offered prayers for success in strengthening and advancing the national education system, and for nurturing well-mannered, disciplined, and morally upright children within Maldivian educational institutions.
First Lady Sajidha Mohamed also shared a message on X to commemorate the start of the new academic year, conveying her greetings and best wishes to students, parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff. She expressed hope that the year ahead would be productive and fulfilling for all students.
