Police say that they wish to take statement from Nasheed

The Maldives Police Service has told the media that they wish to take a statement from Mohamed Nasheed, the leader of the Maldivian Democratic Party, and former President of the Maldives. The Police told that Nasheed had been informed of this. Meanwhile, the Maldivian Democratic Party has said that Nasheed had been summoned by the police. MDP Spokesperson and MP for Maafannu Uthuru Constituency told moments ago that a police summon had been served to Nasheed, though no reasons or time were given.
