Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, on Wednesday, announced the launch of a creative pitch writing contest in observation of International Youth Day (IYD) on August 12.
According to the ministry, the theme for the contest coincides with the 2020 IYD Theme 'Youth engagement for global action', with the top three pitches winning a cash prize of MVR 5,000 each, in addition to any expenses required to carry out the project.

The virtual contest has an attached deadline for August 31st at 1400hrs and includes the following topics;
- Climate Change
- Financial Inclusion
- Youth Health
- Empowerment of Girls and Young Women
- Political Participation
- Volunteerism
- Education
- Migration
- Radicalization and Violent Extremism
- Disability and Inclusion
Youth aged 18 to 35 are urged to send their pitches to info.yd@youth.gov.mv before the deadline.
