BML deactivates compromised bank cards, to protect personal data

Bank of Maldives (BML) has deactivated several bank cards that has been compromised. This is a step they take to ensure customer protection, the bank said.
According to bank protocols, to prevent unwanted transactions, all compromised cards will be deactivated.
Few cards were compromised and the owners of the cards have been informed via email, according to BML.
BML will issue new cards to replace the deactivated ones and inform their customers.
The cards were not compromised due to a leak of information from BML's end, the bank said.
