Main opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has announced details of the branches that would be joining the party congress from the 29th to the 30th of June.
In an announcement made on MDP's official website on Monday, the party stated that branches that were eligible to vote for the party's vice chairperson in 2017, as well as the branches that have been registered by 31st May will be able to participate in the congress.
The party also stated that, among the branches that had been registered by the 31st of May, the ones that have not yet held an election will be able to participate in the congress once they hold an election by the 11th of June and send the result to the party secretariat.
Said branches are to send in the election results via letter or email to the MDP secretariat before the 11th of June.
