Discussions were held between Maldives Police Service (MPS) and Ministry of Islamic Affairs on further enhancing the collaborative efforts on combating crimes.
The discussions were held between Commissioner of Police Hussain Waheed and Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Ziyad، at Shaheed Hussain Adam Building on Tuesday.
The meeting was the first meeting with Police following the appointment of Dr. Ziyad as the Islamic Minister. Commissioner Waheed extended greetings on behalf of the Police authority، on the new appointment.
The two have discussed on various ways to strengthen the collaborative ventures and programs، and highlighted on further means of combating crimes and saving the youth from engaging in criminal activities. They further discussed on religious programs that can be conducted among the Police to increase the awareness of religious traits.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohamed Sodiq.
