While protesters were gathering at the Artificial Beach site before the rally kicked-off، event organizers were playing out Quran audios from a parked vehicle، which is a deviation from their usual modus operandi of playing political songs during protest kick-offs.
Currently، the protesters، which according to MDP and Adaalath Party have exceeded beyond 5000، with participants waving the national flag instead of their political party flags، have started walking and are currently traveling through Majeedee Magu.
