Saudi Air to transport pilgrims to Saudi this year

Maldives Hajj Corporation has signed an agreement with Saudi Air to transport pilgrims to Saudi Arabia this year.
Hajj Corporation MD Yameen Idhris and Saudi Air CEO Haisham Shams signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.
Speaking to Miadhu, Yameen Idhris said this year, Saudi Air will carry out four scheduled flights to carry 1000 pilgrims and will operate three flights back to Male’.
Yameen Idhris said previous years every pilgrim was given an allowance of 30 kilos. This year every pilgrim will be given a 40 kilo allowance that does not include zamzam water bottles. Additionally, the pilgrims will not face difficulties in Jeddah airport, as Saudia is the carrier.
Shams said the airline will seek to eliminate many of the difficulties experienced by Maldivian pilgrims by working closely with the Corporation.
The pilgrims will be taken directly from INIA to Jeddah International airport and vice versa.
