Jumhooree Party Deputy Leader, Gasim Ibrahim has appealed all people to stand up against the oppression perpetrated against the party leader Gasim Ibrahim.
Ameen Ibrahim made this remark in a statement he tweeted from his official twitter account.
“I appeal the people to stand up against the oppression perpetrated against Gasim to stop him from advocating for the rights of the people,” he said.
Ameen called the people to stand up in defence of Gasim while the High Court issued a verdict depriving Villa Group of its rights despite the verdict of the Supreme Court.
While MIRA claims 100 million Dollars from Villa Group of Gasim, the company denies the claim and states that they owe nothing for the state. The case is now in civil court.
Ameen made similar remarks at the Thursday meeting held at Salt Restaurant.
He said that Gasim Ibrahim is being targeted by the government and they are trying to frame him with various false accusations.
The Deputy Leader of Jumhooree Party, Ameen said that he is participating in these not from the party side. He said that he believes that he has to fight for the rights of Gasim.
