Singapore Airlines increases capacity on Maldives route with A350 flights

Singapore’s national airline, Singapore Airlines, has launched their flight operations to Maldives using the Airbus A350 aircraft.
Singapore Airlines launched its Airbus A350 aircraft flights to Maldives on October 30. According to MACL, the flights are scheduled to operate on Sundays, Thursdays and Saturdays of each week. MACL further noted the Airbus A350 has twice the capacity of aircrafts currently operated to Maldives by the Singapore Airlines.
Currently, the Skytrax’s Best Airline in Asia of 2022 is operating two daily flights to the Maldives using Boeing 8-787s. Boeing 787 has a capacity between 240-300, while Airbus A350 can carry between 300 to 350 passengers.
Singapore Airlines is a favored choice amongst tourists and businessmen traveling Male’-Singapore route.
The upgrade by Singapore Airlines came in addition to several notable airlines resuming and commencing direct flight operations to the Maldives as winter holidays are beginning and Maldives is a popular and a favoured choice of holiday destination during this season.
