The Maaugoodhoo Council, in partnership with Realty Consultancy Maldives, has carried out a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing knowledge and skill development across different segments of the island community.
The programs included business-focused training for SMEs, career guidance sessions for students, and financial literacy programs for parents.
Training for Local Businesses
A key initiative targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises was a program on Business Proposals and Financial Forecasts. The Council formally welcomed the facilitators, after which participants received guidance on essential business practices and strategies needed to advance their operations. Certificates were awarded upon completion.
According to the Council, the training is expected to play an important role in helping island businesses secure investments and improve financial planning.
Awareness Sessions for Students and Parents
A career guidance session was held for students in Grade 8 and above at Maaugoodhoo School to help them explore future career paths and understand opportunities for academic progression.
In addition, a session on Financial Literacy Enhancement was conducted for parents, aimed at strengthening financial awareness and economic decision-making within households.
The Council noted that these joint efforts with Realty Consultancy Maldives mark a significant step toward community development, ensuring that businesses, youth, and families gain practical knowledge and skills that support long-term growth.
