In partnership with Maldives Blood Services, BML (Bank of Maldives) recently organised a successful blood donation drive.
At the event, 46 BML staff members donated their blood. This ongoing initiative, conducted on a quarterly basis, has garnered an impressive response, with over 60 BML employees and their family members participating in the first two quarters of the current fiscal year.
The bank is organizing these camps with the aim of promoting sustainable blood donation, recognizing the need for blood among children with thalassemia. BML has said that these camps are designed to raise awareness among employees about social issues and encourage increased participation in activities that contribute positively to the society.
BML made the decision to hold blood donation drives on a quarterly basis in 2021.
