Former Home Minister Umar Naseer has decided to visit London on the coming Sunday to meet with ousted Vice President Dr. Muhammad Jameel. Umar said that the purpose of the visit it to discuss about the presidential elections with Dr.Jameel.
Umar said that since he intends to run in the elections, he wants to garner support from Maldivian politicians in London including Dr.Jameel. Umar said that this trip does not have anything to do with PPM or President Maumoon. He said that he did not discuss about the trip with Maumoon even.
“I intend to run in the presidential elections. Hence, I will need support from political leaders. That’s why I am visiting London” said Umar.
