The government’s plan of eliminating and wrecking all the politicians and political affiliations in the opposition will be made unsuccessful، says opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Chairperson Ali Waheed.
Ali Waheed made the statement on a tweet he posted later last night.
“By the will of Allah، the plan of yours [government] of eliminating all politicians will fail.”
The MDP-led protest held last night was dispersed and broken off، with south-Galolhu MP Ahmed Mahloof and Adhaalath deputy SG Ahmed Shareef arrested.
About 1،500 took part in the protest held last night، relatively less than other opposition-led protests held in capital Male’.
