A suspect of February 8 arson assigned as Youth Ministry Coordinator

Former Addu City Council member Ahmed Miruzad، and a suspect of 8 February 2012 arson attack in Addu، has been assigned as the Coordinator position at Ministry of Youth & Sports.
Reportedly he was given the position during last week.
Ahmed Miruzad، former member of MDP، signed to the Progressive Party of Maldives during by-election of Feydhoo Council.
The State pressed terrorism charges against him in the Criminal Court in 2012، as a suspect of the arson attack in Addu City on 8th February 2012، following the resignation of Mohamed Nasheed (Anni) on the previous day.
Miruzad reportedly holds previous Police records of Narcotics cases. He was also brought under Police custody for creating unrest and was caught red handed while consuming alcohol.
