Whilst the economy of the country is boosting، the skilled youth to empower and prosper the economy are less، said Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham.
Minister Shiham made her statement during the graduation ceremony of Maldives Polytechnics held on Monday.
She said the world is advancing and developing، and so is Maldives.
“While the economy of Maldives is progressing، the professional people are lacking to help it progress and advance faster،” Minister said.
She further highlighted the major role in the progression of a country will be played by the professionals and skilled people to develop the country’s economy.
In addition، Minister Shiham highlighted that، as the major percentage of Maldives’ population is youth، the Government wishes to empower youth and create opportunities for them to learn professional skills.
“The purpose of these courses are to let youth partake in the economy of Maldives، and let their works bring a revolutionary change in the advancement of the economy.”
