At the end of August 2015، gross international reserves registered an increase of 23% on annual terms and stood at US$667.4 million، Maldives Monetary Authority said.
In the “Monthly Economic Review” publicized by the authority، MMA said of US $667.4 million، the usable reserves amounted to US $212.6 million.
During the review month usable reserves registered an increase of 29% on annual terms while it declined marginally in monthly terms.
As for gross reserves in terms of months of imports، it declined slightly in monthly terms although it registered an increase in annual terms reaching 4.2 months at the end of July 2015.
