Director of the Democracy Lab, “Sandhaanu” Ahmed Didi said that the current government’s oppression has escalated so much that it is now likely that the government will even seize all the money of the people from their homes.
Ahmed Didi said that the government is hungry for money and they are so desperate that they will do anything to get it.
He said that this is evident from the fact that MIRA is now demanding 90.4 million US dollars from Villa Group following the demand of 100 million US dollars made by the government to Villa Group while the company owes not a single laari to the government.
Ahmed Didi said that good governance cannot be achieved or provided if the government shows tyranny and oppression.
Regarding Mayday protest, Ahmed Didi said that the government is plotting to attack the people using Police and defence force.
