Angelee Rose C Sarange, a nurse from Philippines has won the ADK staff of the year award for the year 2015. She was given the award in the annual ADK Hospital Employee Performance Awards ceremony held last night.
In addition to the award certificate she got 15,000 Rufiyaa as cash prize and a 3-day holiday trip to Dubai. She was given the award by the chief guest of the ceremony Health Minister Abdualla Nazim Ibrahim.
In the ceremony 70 different people were given awards of recognition. The five staffs who got the golden award with 7500 Rufiyaa are Dr.Mariyam Irfa, Dr.Nuzha, Seema Mohammed, Ensan Joseph and Dr.Aminath Nusra. Golden awards were given by the MD of ADK, Ahmed Afaal.
The recipients of the silver award are, Dr.Ali Niyaf, Dr.Nawaz, Mohamed Waheed, Hemanth, and Dr.Arun Kumaar. They were given the award by Maanaa Raafiu.
The is the 6th annual award ceremony of ADK.
Speaking at the ceremony Afaal said that the driving force behind the development of ADK is the loyal and dedicated service of all the staffs of ADK. He said that since they started giving awards, competition between staffs has increased and the number of staffs who are receiving these awards has increased as well. He said that, it was a sign that the program is a success.
He said that now there are 608 staffs in ADK and with the new facilities at ADK it is likely that the number will rise up to 1000. He said that 62% of the staffs are foreigners and 38% are Maldivians.
