Ali Jaleel says he was not ordered by any superior to arrest anyone

Current Defence Minister, former Major General Ali Jaleel has said that he was not ordered by any superior to arrest anyone.
Moosa Ali Jaleel made this remark at the criminal court denying the charges of terrorism made against him regarding the arbitrary arrest of Criminal Court Chief Judge Abdulla Mohamed.
He said that he did not arrest Judge Abdulla Mohamed. He said that he was not ordered by a superior and he did not order any of his subordinates to arrest or keep anyone in army custody.
Moosa Ali Jaleel presented Lieutenant Colonel Nasrulla Ibrahim Majdhee, Lieutenant Colonel Ali Shahid, Major Abdul Salaam, Colonel Mohamed Ibrahim and former Commissioner of Police Faseeh as witnesses.
During the hearing, the State attorney presented evidences against Moosa Ali Jaleel.
Moosa Ali Jaleel was appointed as the Minister of Defence and National Security on 20th January 2015 after the controversial dismiss of the then Defence Minister Colonel (retired) Mohamed Naizm. Prior to the appointment of Defence Minister, Moosa Ali Jaleel was serving as the High Commissioner of the Maldives to Pakistan.
