Bank of Maldives (BML) it will be extending the special provision of incrementing debit card withdrawal limits until 5 July 2020.
The provision was a move focused on Maldivians living abroad and facing challenges amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The national bank of Maldives, confirmed to this on their official Twitter handle on Monday, 15 June.
“We have been supporting Maldivians living abroad by enabling International Transfers from MVR accounts and temporarily increasing Debit Card Withdrawal limits. The duration of this measure has been further extended until 5th July 2020,” the bank’s statement on Twitter read.
Moreover, the bank noted that such transfer requests will be processed accordingly if “the beneficiary is registered with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a transfer request has been already submitted” to BML.
