Kendhoo constituency MP, Ali Hussein has said that the two judges of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Ahmed Faiz and Judge Mutasim Adnan were removed from the Supreme Court bench without giving them the chance to prove themselves worthy.
Speaking at the Peoples’ Majlis, Ali Hussein said that the members of the Majlis should be ashamed of advocating for the rights of others while they have deprived the rights of these two judges from proving themselves.
He said that the judges were not even given the chance that the devil was given. “We should be ashamed of ourselves. Where do we get the audacity to speak about rights. We have removed the Chief Justice without giving him the right to defend his position. We have gone against the natural disposition. The natural justice. We have removed two judges,” he said.
Ali Hussein said that the natural disposition calls to give the right to defend oneself even for the worst of criminals.
“Allah even questioned the devil when it refused to prostrate to Adam. The devil was given the chance to be accountable for his action,” he said.
