Ex-President Nasheed’s Trial: "Cannot arrange lawyers for tomorrow" – Nasheed

The opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) leader and the former President Mohamed Nasheed had reportedly stated he cannot arrange defence attorneys for tomorrow’s hearing tabled at the Criminal Court.
Nasheed reportedly made his statement to the court staffs after the hearing was concluded tonight.
“I am detained in jail. I cannot arrange the lawyers for tomorrow. Relay this message to the Judges،” Nasheed said.
Ex-President Nasheed was summoned to the Criminal Court tonight for the hearing of his trial.
Nasheed is pressed with terrorism charges by the State، for the unlawful detaining and isolating of the Criminal Court Chief Judge Abdulla ‘Gaazee’ Mohamed in 2012.
The hearing was originally tabled at 16:00 today، however، the court postponed the hearing to give time for the defence attorneys to evaluate the evidence.
