The Government will be put to defeat with the majority of the people، stated Ali Waheed، the chairperson of opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
Ali Waheed، former member of the parliament، made his statement during the opposition، MDP، AP and JP gathering، “Maldivians Against Brutality” held at Male’ City Council hall on Thursday night.
He said the whole nation will be gathered against brutality، and that President Yameen is ‘doing wrong maths’.
“We will defeat the Government with the majority of Maldivians،” Ali Waheed said.
Ali Waheed has strongly criticized President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and the Government in his speech. He said ‘they will not allow’ for foreigners to intervene in Maldives’ systems and projects via ways leading to corruption.
In addition، he stated ex-President Mohamed Nasheed ‘is in jail for the sake of all Maldivians’.
