Gionee aiming to bring out the "World's slimmest smartphone" once again

Smartphone manufacturers aim at different aspects of their flagship devices when concerned with USPs (Unique Selling Points)، with big league Smartphone makers aiming at power and potential، it seems the Asian smartphone market has an entirely different aim.
Asian Smartphone companies have long been at it to create their version of the “World’s slimmest smartphone”، and it seems to be the driving force of major Asian smartphone makers. Their battle to reach the top on razor-thin flagships result in ridiculously thin devices.
Gionee، started their take on the Razor-Thin smartphone market with their Elife S5.1، measuring only 5.5mm in its width. Their handset was quickly overthrown by the Oppo R5، which had 4.85 mm body، and temporarily held the title of the thinnest phone before it was beaten by a 4.8mm Vivo X5 Max، this device again beaten by another titled Ivvi K1 Mini، which had a surprising 4.7mm body.
With so many rivals competing، Gionee is back in the game again، and they don’t seem to back off easily.
Recently، images of a Gionee phone believed to be the new Elife S7 has been making rounds in the internet، and it is incredibly thin. According to reports the device measures 4.6mm in width، surpassing every other slim phones currently in the market.
Gionee has sent out invitations for its MWC 2015 event، and it is a surefire thing their Gionee S7 will get its unveiling in the event at the Barcelona venue on March 2nd.
