Maldives Meteorological Service Forecasts Rain Across the Country Over Next Two Days

The Maldives Meteorological Service has issued a weather advisory predicting rainfall across all parts of the country over the coming two days.
The current weather system is expected to continue affecting the central and southern atolls today, with rain forecasted nationwide for tomorrow and Wednesday. The heaviest rainfall is anticipated on Wednesday.
While sea conditions are generally moderate, rough seas may develop during squalls. Winds in the northern atolls will blow from the west to northwest, while other atolls will experience easterly to southeasterly winds, ranging from 7 to 17 miles per hour, with gusts reaching up to 40 miles per hour during squalls.
The Maldives is currently experiencing its southwest monsoon season, which is contributing to these weather conditions.
