Fuvahmulah showcased as ‘Shark Island’ in Netflix series

One of Maldives southern most atolls, Fuvahmulah City, has been showcased in a Netflix series launched on Friday, ‘All the Sharks’.
The first episode of the series ‘Eye of the Tiger Shark’ showcases underwater scenery from Fuvahmulah, alongside inland scenery such as the beach. The City’s ‘Shark Point’ is renowned for being frequented by tiger sharks. As such, the series refers to Fuvahmulah as ‘Shark Island’.
‘All the Sharks’ features four shark expert teams competing globally to track down and capture as many shark species. The teams are allocated points based on every shark caught on camera. The rarer the shark, the more points they earn.
