President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed are returning to Maldives on Tuesday after their visit to India.
They visited the neighboring country on Sunday on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and are returning to Maldives from the Agra airport.
Before leaving, the first couple visited the Taj Mahal in Agra.
During the three-day trip, Maldives and India signed four significant agreements, including India providing a credit facility of USD 1.4 billion.
President Solih has met with a number of top government officials including the Indian prime minister, president, vice-president, and external affairs minister.
He also met with Indian businessmen and Maldivians living in the country.
