Founder of Villa College, Qasim Ibrahim have said that he wants all Maldivians to have the chance to attain economic prosperity. He also said that to follow Islamic principles and sustain democracy is important for the development of Maldives.
Speaking at the convocation ceremony of Villa College, Qasim Ibrahim said that cleaning the country from corruption should be the highest priority. He said the people wants a government which does not oppress the people.
“That is what the Maldivian wanted even before, even now and even in the future. That is what the whole humankind desires” said Qasim.
“These are things which is probably debated among students of higher studies. I do not disagree that you will have discovered solutions to these problems said Qasim.
Qasim said that it is of a great honor for Villa College that many knowledgeable people are graduating from Villa. “I believe that all of you would do your best to develop this country” said Qasim.
