Mayor of Male' City and Vice President of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Dr. Mohamed Muizzu attended China's Communist Party's (CCP) annual conference with political parties around the world, on behalf of former President Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
The oldest political party in China, the Communist Party celebrated its 100th anniversary. President of China Xi Jinping was present at the conference celebrating the party's 100th year.
Opposition PPM maintained close relations with China during its rule. CCP, with over 80 million civilian members, controls all large organizations in the country.
The 100th anniversary of the long-lived political party in China was a colorful celebration.
