The ‘Handhuma’ Society, established in Hdh. Hanimaadhoo specifically for religious awareness activities, was inaugurated last night.
The ceremony held last night in Hanimaadhoo for this purpose was graced by Assaix Dr. Mohamed Imran Ali and the President of Manfaa Society, Ali Rameez.
The ceremony was attended by Hanimaadhoo Council members, heads of institutions, students from the higher grades of Hanimaadhoo School, and residents of the island.
The Hanimaadhoo Handhuma Society was inaugurated by the President of Manfaa Society, Ali Rameez.
In his speech at the ceremony, the President of the Society, Ahmed Husenfulhu, noted that the individuals who spearheaded the formation of the society had previously been involved in religious awareness efforts for the public. He highlighted that this work was carried out individually in collaboration with the island’s institutions, clubs, and societies.
Ahmed stated that the Handhuma Society was formed out of the recognition of the necessity of having a society to carry out this work and the ease it would bring to the efforts.
He said that the society’s aspiration is for its work to benefit the entire Islamic Ummah.
