A pediatrician has joined the services of the Hanimaadhoo Health Center.
Hanimaadhoo Health Center welcomed Dr. Alina Ali yesterday, announcing her commencement as the center’s specialist pediatrician.
Additionally, a physician joined the Hanimaadhoo Health Center services on December 25th.
The current administration has also appointed a gynecologist to the Hanimaadhoo Health Center, which previously operated with only two medical officers.
The appointment of these doctors to the Hanimaadhoo Health Center fulfills a pledge made by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. In line with the President’s promise, the center now has a gynecologist, a pediatrician, and a physician.
Although the registered population of the island is approximately 2,300, Hanimaadhoo is home to many residents who have settled there for various purposes. The island, which hosts migrants from two other islands, also features an international airport, a city hotel, and numerous guesthouses.
Hanimaadhoo Health Center provides 24-hour services. Furthermore, work has already commenced on the construction of a hospital on the island.
